Bio
Since graduating Berklee College of Music in 2011 Salvatore has had an extensive and diverse performing career. Splitting time between Nashville and New Jersey he has found himself performing in churches, motor speedways, honky-tonks and famous venues such as Lincoln Center, The Station Inn, The Garden State Arts Centre & The Count Basie Center for the Arts. Boyd has over a decade of experience playing guitar in pit-bands in NYC and NJ musical theater productions and has performed on countless professional recording sessions on various instruments.
Boyd’s teaching journey started with a mentorship at a young age with John Gronert, a former student of Joe Morello of the Dave Brubeck Quartet. These early lessons gave Sal the foundation necessary to graduate Berklee College of Music, hold masterclasses at high-schools, develop curriculums for local music academies and most important never lose the love of enriching young minds with the joy of musical development.
